Our team are experts at what they do.

Our pharmacists provide the best possible clinical care for patients. From helping patients understand and use their medications safely, to working collaboratively with care teams and interpreting the latest clinical evidence for patient benefit, the expert skills, abilities and commitment of our pharmacists are the heart of the Pharmacists Clinic. 

Our health administrators are the backbone of the Pharmacists Clinic. They support all aspects of clinic operations including booking patient appointments, helping pharmacists prepare for appointments, sharing information with care teams and ensuring all clinic processes run smoothly.

  • Rupinder Cheema

    Patient Support and Receptionist

    Rupinder is often the first point of contact for people at the UBC Pharmacists Clinic. As patient support and receptionist, Rupinder schedules appointments, answers the telephone, processes referrals, provides assistance to patients, and greets people when they arrive for an appointment. Rupinder also organizes patient intake processes and projects.

  • Jillian Reardon

    Clinical Pharmacist and Lecturer

    Dr. Jillian Reardon has a busy clinical practice seeing patients by appointment at the UBC Pharmacists Clinic. Jillian began her pharmacy career in the Maritimes, completing her undergraduate pharmacy degree at Dalhousie University (Halifax, Nova Scotia) followed by her hospital residency with Horizon Health Network (Saint John, New Brunswick). She practiced in inpatient cardiology at the QEII Health Sciences Centre (Halifax) before relocating to Vancouver where she completed her graduate PharmD degree at UBC and then joined the Faculty as a member of the Clinic team.

  • Jamie Yuen

    Clinical Pharmacist and Lecturer

    Dr. Jamie Yuen has an active clinical practice providing care for patients at the UBC Pharmacists Clinic. He is also involved in teaching and mentoring roles for student pharmacists and postgraduate residents. Jamie completed his undergraduate pharmacy degree, postgraduate community residency and Pharm D degree at UBC. Prior to joining the Clinic team, he practiced in a variety of community-based settings as a pharmacist and pharmacy manager.

  • Adrian Ziemczonek

    Clinical Pharmacist and Lecturer

    Adrian Ziemczonek has an active patient care practice at the UBC Pharmacists Clinic, coupled with his role as clinical team lead.  He has a particular interest in complex disease management and collaborative team-based primary care. Adrian’s priority is supporting patients in their journey to achieve their health goals. Adrian completed his university and residency training through UBC, and worked in a variety of health care settings prior to joining the Clinic team.

  • Nikki Domanski

    Clinical Pharmacist and Lecturer

    Dr. Nikki Domanski has a busy patient care practice at the UBC Pharmacists Clinic, with a particular interest in primary care practice and clinic-based services. Nikki is passionate about teaching, shared decision making and interdisciplinary collaboration. Nikki completed her undergraduate and professional PharmD training at the University of Waterloo (Ontario) and is the first graduate of the accredited University of Waterloo/Centre for Family Medicine Ambulatory Care Residency program.

  • Tiana Tilli

    Clinical Pharmacist and Lecturer

    Dr. Tiana Tilli brings her expertise in patient care, education and health promotion to the Clinic team. Areas of particular interest for Tiana include providing culturally informed care to First Nations clients. Tiana graduated from the University of Toronto with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree, and completed a hospital residency at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto. Prior to joining the Clinic team, Tiana worked in patient care practice and as a Sessional Clinical Lecturer at the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Toronto.

  • Nasheena Poonja

    Clinical Pharmacist and Lecturer

    Sheena is an experienced pharmacist who has recently joined the clinic team.  Sheena is committed to supporting people in understanding their medications and achieving positive health outcomes. Having completed her undergraduate pharmacy training at UBC, Sheena is back working at UBC and also as a student in the Master of Health Administration program. Prior to joining the Clinic team, Sheena worked as a community pharmacist both in rural areas and in Long Term Care, owned and managed her own pharmacy, worked at the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia, and at Providence Health Care in Clinical Informatics.

  • Anita Kapanen

    Research Coordinator

    Anita is the research coordinator for the UBC Pharmacists Clinic. In this role, Anita provides expertise in a variety of ways including: research planning; the development of research protocols, grant applications, ethics submissions, data collection methods and tools; and data analysis and knowledge translation. Anita's contributions ensure the Clinic is continually evolving as a care site and model of pharmacist practice to best meet the needs of our patients. Anita has her PhD in cellular and molecular biology and completed post-doctoral studies in Finland and at BC Cancer Agency Research Centre, PHSA.  

  • Umberto Lombos


    In the Clinic Manager role, Umberto is the operational backbone of the clinic with responsibility for managing and providing oversight to administrative activities, projects, policies, procedures facilities, resources and finances at the Clinic. Umberto brings a wealth of relevant experience in business and financial administration, as well as HR, technical and clinical support to this role.  He holds a BSc (Education), CPM designation and MBA from the Philippines, and both the CPA and CMA designations here in Canada.

  • Barbara Gobis


    As director of the Pharmacists Clinic, Barbara is responsible for the Clinic team, and the strategic direction, structure and function of the Clinic site. Barbara also participates in some patient care and student teaching activities. Barbara completed her undergraduate pharmacy degree at the University of British Columbia, her residency at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre (Toronto) and her masters of science in clinical pharmacy at the University of Toronto. She also has a certificate in Organizational Coaching from UBC and is a credentialed coach at the PCC level with the International Coaching Federation.

Student Pharmacists

Students contribute as part of the team at various stages of their education. They are involved with carrying out medication reviews, providing immunizations and following up with patients at the clinic as part of their curriculum.
